Activewear Explained - A Trend thats here for Good :)

So we thought we would examine activewear and try to understand why the fad is so popular. Activewear is defined as Moisture-wicking materials (usually synthetic material blends) which are specifically designed to tackle sweat issues, by drawing sweat to the surface of the material. This makes it easier for sweat to evaporate and keep you cool. Activewear made from these materials is usually light, breathable and dries quickly.

When it comes to clothes to work out in, do you prioritise fashion or comfort? Many of us fall somewhere in the middle. We may splurge on a pair of compression leggings designed to wick sweat and aid recovery, but on top we’re wearing an old, oversized cotton t-shirt. So, does it really matter what you wear in the gym?

Well, research say it does, revealing a direct correlation between what we wear and how we perform, as well as our motivation levels and even likelihood of injury. The other reasons include skin health, body temperature, a lack of restriction and performance.

Activewear

We know that this activewear trend wether for sport or everyday wear is here to stay as lots of mums in particular have embraced the lightweight yet warm functionality of activewear. Particularly in winter as an easy way to get around.

We hope you enjoy our selection of activewear from YPL Australia, while not as premium as say Lulu Lemon or Laura Ashley, its still a great pricepoint focussed option thats easy wearing.
